Commissioned by Billy Penn, I photographed a series of stories that required building real trust with each subject to do their story justice. Assignments included two brothers released after 20+ years wrongfully jailed for murder, a spotlight on Philadelphia’s women firefighters, and a mother turned gun-control advocate after losing her son to violence.
